Occupational Health and Safety Representatives – 5 day course
This is the major Comcare accredited OHS representatives course available to federal public sector agencies. The course enables employers to meet their training obligations under the Commonwealth Occupational Health and Safety Act (Commonwealth Employees 1991). The course is paid for by the employer and is open to anyone meeting the eligibility requirements.

Training is currently conducted in Sydney and Melbourne, with Canberra training conducted on a needs basis - please email the OHS Coordinator for further information. To enrol, print out a copy of the relevant enrolment form and fax it to the number on the form.

Referesher course – 2 day
A refresher course is also available for those who have completed the OHS Representatives course, but who need to update their skills. The Refresher course is always the first two days of any five day course.

Commonwealth Manual Handling Course – 1 day
This course is designed for health and safety representatives, supervisors and managers, employees and anyone responsible for implementing manual handling systems. The course will identify legislative responsibilities, recognising hazards and implementing control measures with regard to manual handling.

Specific Hazards Seminar
We can design seminars to address hazards that may be of specific relevance to your work environment. We have special expertise in the area of office based hazards - lifting and carrying, screen based equipment, air conditioning and stress.

Cancellation policy
Cancellations/transfers must be made in writing to the OHS Coordinator. The following fees will apply:

• three or more weeks written notice prior to the nominated course: full refund payable
• two weeks written notice prior to the nominated course: $50 administration fee
• less than two weeks written notice: full course fee charged
